About De Bortoli

Established in 1928 by Italian immigrants Vittorio and Giuseppina De Bortoli, the winery began in Bilbul, New South Wales. Their son, Deen De Bortoli, expanded the business significantly, instilling a culture of hard work and a passion for winemaking. Today, the third generation—Darren, Leanne, Kevin, and Victor—continues the family legacy, emphasizing good wine, good food, and good company as integral to everyday life.

Sustainability at De Bortoli

De Bortoli Wines is committed to environmentally sustainable practices, aiming to become a 'Zero Waste Wine Company.' Initiatives include water management, biological farming, and overhauling packaging and waste management. The company was the first Australian winery to install a large-scale solar energy system and has been recognized with numerous awards for its environmental leadership.

Signature Alcoholic Wines

De Bortoli is renowned for its Noble One Botrytis Semillon, a benchmark in Australian dessert wines with over 100 trophies and 300 gold medals. The winery also produces acclaimed cool-climate wines from the Yarra Valley, including Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Shiraz, and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Why did De Bortoli start making non-alcoholic wine?

Responding to a growing consumer demand for healthier lifestyle choices and inclusivity, De Bortoli introduced non-alcoholic wines to offer quality options for those seeking to reduce or eliminate alcohol consumption without compromising on taste.

How do De Bortoli produce their non-alcoholic wine?

De Bortoli employs advanced dealcoholization techniques, such as vacuum distillation or reverse osmosis, to gently remove alcohol from the wine. This process retains the wine's aromatic and flavor profiles, ensuring that the non-alcoholic versions deliver a satisfying and authentic wine experience.
