I am not familiar with drinking non-alcoholic wines, but I do have some experience in drinking wines with alcohol. There is no comparison here. When first opening this bottle I tasted it immediately. It had a sharp, vinegary taste. I let it "breathe" for a little while, did a lot of glass swirling and eventually, those sharp notes died off. What remained was something that tasted like an extremely watered down grape juice with just a hint of vinegar taste. It wasn't awful, but it didn't taste anything like wine. The flavors were so light that if you had served this to me blindfolded, I would not have recognized it as wine. If you really wanted to serve wine to a young person, I could see serving this as an example of what they eventually could expect if they decided that they wanted to drink wine when they got older, but anyone who was already a wine drinker would not be inclined to want to drink this.

Wine without alcohol sounds fun to try however, I did not end up liking the taste of water-down grape juice. My sister said it was all right. So it will depend.

Spicy on the nose. Very superficial and sweet in taste.
